Screening Schedule
Embedded Files
This year's festival is a calling card from the future with one clear message: The Auteur is back from the grave! Never again need any filmmaker worry about financing or satisfying a committee of the untalented. Something is about to happen in science fiction filmmaking, and referencing Arthur C. Clarke's 2010, it's going to be something wonderful...

10:00
An odyssey to worlds both strange and familiar, this collection of shorts takes us there and back again.
13:00
Bold, contemporary work from a restless new generation of inventive German filmmakers uninterested in looking back.
15:00
Kinda like Biopunk, but wtf is all this doing to our MINDS? Hollywood calls this "grounded sci-fi", we call it Psychopunk.
18:00
Normally I don't screen shorts over twenty minutes, but these animated wonders have me breaking all of my rules.
20:00
My favorite Chinese road trip adventure! A film about the virtual which reminds us in every frame that our own natural world is the most beautiful that we will ever see.
Sunday, October 25
13:00
The Pangalactic Theatre is back with a new low-fi comic sci-fi adventure! As ever with extragalactic mask work, puppetry, and cutout animation.
15:00
A cornucopia of animated films representing techniques old and new, human and transhuman, analogue and digital.
18:00
It means a lot to me that the BS3F has the opportunity to present the very best of contemporary Native American visions of the Future. This well-crafted post-apocalyptic adventure hails from Canada's frozen Arctic.
20:00
These films are gonna weird you out until what’s been lurking beneath spills into the ordinary world. After the screenings, we will host a Weird Ceremony!
